Cooler temps mean water temps are dropping and ice fishing will be around the corner. We have a large selection of gear in stock and more arriving daily.

Ashley Lake
No new reports. Salmon bite should be going strong either jigging or trolling.

Blanchard Lake
A few anglers have done well catching pike and some decent crappies. Now is an excellent time to fish low and slow with swim baits for pike. Look for crappie to be suspended and jig a glow green demon.

Church Slough
We have had good reports of decent pike. Large spoons work well. Lots of smaller crappie as well. Use a 1/8oz jig and a Gulp minnow for best results.
Echo Lake
Water levels are dropping so use caution when navigating. Bass fishing has been ok, and the whitefish bit has picked up. Reports of salmon action heating up as well.

Fennon Slough
No new reports.

Flathead Lake
Lake trout action has been great again this week. Large schools have been producing smaller fish down deep. Trolling has been good for larger fish as well.

Flathead River
Numerous whitefish have been staging up by Columbia Falls. The bite has been slow but will really pick up shortly. Use various size jigs and a plastic craw pattern. Fly fishing is still good using your terrestrials like ants and moths.

Hubbard Reservoir
Water levels are really low this time of year. Good fishing spots are now exposed or very shallow.

Koocanusa
Great rainbow action again this week as anglers are reporting 3-6 fish days in the double-digit weights. Troll Kamlooper spoons 30ft or so behind a planer board at 1.5mph. Some nice salmon as well.

Lake Mary Ronan
Another good week of perch fishing in multiple areas. They range in depths of 15 to 24ft just off the bottom.

Little Bitterroot
Now is a great time to get out and enjoy the rainbow action. Try trolling a Plug-It lure in the white, red, purple pattern or a jointed Rapala. Salmon have been ok with the cow bells and wedding ring setup.

Lower Stillwater
No recent reports but there should be perch biting.

Lower Thompson
No recent reports.

McGregor
Some anglers are doing very well trolling for lake trout in deep transition zones. Use a red/white Flat Fish behind an 8in flasher through these areas.

Middle Thompson
Trolling for salmon has produced some nice fish. Cow bells and wedding rings 20ft below the surface. Pay attention to sonar and adjust your depths accordingly.

Rogers Lake
Fly fishing for cutthroat trout has been decent. Use ant or moth patterns and Purple Haze.

Smith Lake
Reports of some ice formations last week! A sign of things to come. Pike action has slowed some. A few decent perch although difficult to find.

Swan Lake
No recent reports but last week had good laker action.

Whitefish Lake
Anglers are having good success for pike on the North West end. Try a perch pattern jerk bait close to thick weed beds. No reports of lake trout.
