Snagging season is about to open up on September 15th, We are FULLY stocked on snagging hooks and flagging for ALL of your salmon snagging needs!!!!!
Flathead Lake - Fishing has been very steady, pre spawn activities have started as the fish move into a bit shallower water. Cutbait and/or sausage links on a slip weight off the bottom has been working wonders!!!
Lake Mary Ronan - Perch bite has been very solid this year, less numbers but bigger perch. 18-24 seems to be the target depth and small crawdad plastics have been paying off! Rainbow trout have been caught while jigging for perch.
Echo Lake - Bass fishing has been good in the late afternoon/evenings. Top water has been fairly consistent this time of year. Hook up a Whopper Plopper to producing quality fish right before dark.
Loon Lake (Ferndale) - Powerbait remains the bait of choice for hungry Rainbow trout. Orange, Chartreuse and Pink Powerbait floating 18" above the weight seems to be the ticket.
Swan River - Pike are moving around and hungry. Spinnerbaits have been a staple to the Northern Pike diet all season. Look for weed beds and/or cover as you are walking the "Wild Mile" for a good chance at a nice pike
Smith Lake - Eater size pike have been very aggressive, Perch colored spoons have been filling freezers up, Great spot to take the kids for some evening action
Foys Lake - Trout being caught using smaller sized Rapala's either trolled or long casts from shore, Powerbait is also a very good option for shore fishing with the family.
