Open water through out lake. Crank baits that dive deep in a red craw pattern works well for Bass. Big Sky Bass Bash Tourney on 04/27. Flathead Lake Fishing off the delta has produced good numbers of smaller Lake Trout in 60-120’. Jig using a Doodlebug from Zimmer Tackle. East Bay is open with no reports on Perch. Flathead River Water levels continue to rise with slight discoloration. Nymphs work best like a Bead Head Pheasant Tail. Use a #0 Mepp’s in red & white. Lake Mary Ronan No recent reports of ice conditions other than open shores and large ice sheet. Lower Stillwater Still froze over with 18” of solid black ice. However, top 8” is slush and water! Be Careful! Smith Lake Open Water. No recent reports. McGregor Lake Both East and West ends are still frozen but going quick. Boisuert’s Access is open for boats. Thompson Chain Shoreline is open but still large sheets of rotten ice. Whitefish Lake NW end still has ice, but State Park access is open water.
