406-756-BAIT (2248) | 756BAIT.comFlathead Lake The Lake Trout fishing is good. Check the West Shore to Cedar Island area. Trilling large Flatfish at 160’-180’. Also jigging near Painted Rocks at the same depth. Try the Delta area also 15’-45’. Good luck jigging with Zimmer Rattle D’Zastors or Pete’s Whitefish Slayers. The South End is also picking up near Rocky Point or the Narrows both trolling and jigging. East Bay Ice is gone. The Perch should start moving in very soon. You might catch some fish now. Look for the 50° days to warm the water up. Flathead River Above the lake, near Sportsman Bridge hearing reports of Lake Trout, Bulls, Whitefish and Pike. Be sure to check your regs as there are tight restrictions on the river this time of year. Upper Stretch from Columbia Falls to Kalispell is fishing well for Cutts, Rainbows, a few Bulls and Whitefish. Use your flies; specifically, Streamers, Wooly Buggers or Muddle Minnow Patterns. If you are spinning use your Little Cleo’s in gold or silver. Also, Panther Martins are working well. Spin fishing your Thomas Cyclones, Kastmasters or Little Cleo’s have been working well. Noxon Reservoir Looks like the ice is gone. Pike fishing in the bays should b excellent. Also look for Perch and Walleye. Holter Lake (Helena Area) Gates of Mountain is open. Good Trout trolling reports. Still some ice around though. Bitterroot Lake Still has 14”-16” of ice. I was wondering if there has been a report on Swan Lake yet? Is there still ice?

We haven't heard any reports of either ice or fishing. However suspect that it is still frozen. Just haven't had anyone come back and confirm it. Sorry I don't have better info.

There is probably still some ice. However don't think at this point that it would be safe ice. Haven't heard anything for sure.

I was at the 4/07/18 fishin seminars and saw someone video taping the speakers. Are these going to be posted anywhere I could watch them again? Poor memory and was hoping to be able to reference them in the future!

We haven't heard any reports specifically about how much. Have heard that the shoreline has been open water. Ice is probably getting to the marginal safe zone at this point if you can get on it.
