Be careful on the ice these last few days of our ice. It is starting to disappear on most valley floor lakes. Be sure to watch the shorelines they will start to go during the day time.
Most of Flathead River sloughs are starting to open up. Check regs on them before you go due to closures.
Bitteroot and Ashley Lake
Still holding ice but please watch the shorelines and certain areas of the lakes.

Thompson Chain Lakes
Starting go along some of the shorelines.
Fishing well near Blue Bay and Yellow bay. Jigging deep 15 to 200'. Also check the Delta in 30' with large whole fish doing well for big lakers!!
Near Sportsman bridge doing well for lake whitefish and lake trout. Be sure to check regs on all sections of the Flathead River
Upper Flathead River
Near Snappy's: fly fishing is doing well with small nymphs and streamers
Out West of Kalispell doing well with small nymphs also some brown and rainbows.
The Clark Fork River
Fishing well for nice browns and rainbow. Streamers and griddle bugs doing well or, Cyclones and little Cleo's
Most rivers and streams are closed till third Saturday in May, but there are a few exceptions: the lower Swan River below Swan Lake and the Whitefish River from Highway 40 Bridge North to Whitefish Lake are open year around.
Be sure to be careful out there. Ice conditions can change very quickly with the warm weather wind and rain so be safe if you're still think about ice fishing!
