2018 Fishing Licenses ARE DUE 03/01/2018.

Ice conditions are very slushy on mon lakes. You are going to need your Muck Boots!

Lake Mary Ronan:
10” of ice with 6” of snow and slush on top. Good Perch action still near Cap Tuffit and White Rock Bay. Try Hali Jigs in 20’ of water. You can fish for Salmon at night and do well. The closure is done, so you can fish for all species after March 1.
Bitterroot Lake:
Not much has changed. Just as some slush on top. Still good numbers of nice Salmon coming in from the North End down 40’. Try Hali jigs or Pimples. South End in deep water (240’) you’ll find your big Salmon (up to 3lbs). A bit slow, but very nice fish.

Ashley Lake:
Again conditions haven’t changed much. There is a bit of snow making it difficult to get in to fish. But it had been fishing very well.
Dickey Lake:Lots of snow and slush but good ice. Good Salmon reports and Mountain Whitefish.

Middle Thompson:
8”-10” of ice with slush. Good number of Perch down deep around 50’. Try the West End with Clam Pea Spoon. Salmon is good in the early morning.

Upper Thompson:
Good number of fillet Perch size. Try middle of lake near Island. Few nice Pike reports as well.

Swan Lake:
Still getting Lake Trout and Bulls near the highway side. Few nice Salmon coming from the deeper water.

Foys Lake:
Rainbows are good in the early morning. Few nice Salmon reports from the West side of Island early in the day or later evenings.

McGregor Lake:

Decent ice on the West End. One report of a big 29lb Lake Trout couple of weeks ago.

Flathead Lake:

If you can get a boat in, try dear Delta down 30’-60’ with dead bait or jigging spoons. Little bit of ice in Hatchery Bay and Somers Bay, but BE CAREFUL the wind can take that away quick. The East Bay near Polson is turning in some nice Perch up to 12”.

Rodgers Lake:

Good Cutthroat action in the late afternoons. Few reports of Graylings.

Little McGregor:
Lots of small Perch and a few Rainbows as well.
Smith Lake:Still getting some big Perch, up to 14”. Lots of small Pike as well.

Hello Jake,
Since Lake Blaine has no public access, we don't get many reports. We have been hearing from a couple of folks that do have access that the Perch are biting OK and some Kokanee. Sorry I don't have more info for you.

Hello Dane,
Not much on the Panfish. Mostly smaller Perch. Occasional bigger guys, but not much. The predators are still pushing the smaller spawn Perch up the river, so we are seeing an influx in the sloughs and rivers right now. I hope that this helps, although probably not quite what you wanted to hear.
