New Fishing Licenses go on sale Feb 19th. The new season starts March 1st. Your Existing fishing license will still be valid through Feb 28th.

Blanchard Lake
Lots of snow and ice. Perch bite has been decent in the early mornings. The Crappie have been biting in lake afternoons. Try using Pete’s Sassy Stingers with wax worms.

Church Slough
Ice is getting thicker and the Crappie are starting to show up. Early morning or evenings are best. Try using Glow Demon Jigs. Reports of Pike that are suspended 4ft below the ice.
Echo Lake
Around 8” of ice. Snow drifts are deep in spots. Great place to take the family Perch fishing. Try in front of boat launch using Snare Spoons. Whitefish have been caught in 30-40ft.

Flathead Lake
Somers Bay is frozen enough for those who walk out. Use Pete’s Slayers for Whitefish and a ball head jig, Twister Tail and small cut bait for Lake Trout.

Lake Mary Ronan
Snappy’s Family Ice Derby this Sat (16th)! Sign up for Free HERE or in the store. Reports of 10” of ice in spots with lots of snow. Perch bite has been good in the 17-20’ range. Although the Salmon fishing has been slow, reports of 14” being caught. Hali Jigs are producing suspended fish.

Bitterroot Lake
North end has 10” of ice in spots. South End around 6” and the middle has about 4”. Salmon seems to be better on South End in 60’ of water. Perch has been hard to find but focus on 24-30’ deep.

Stillwater Lake
The ice is thick, and snow is deep! Good numbers of Perch by the islands in 8-10’ of water. Know your limit on size and numbers of Perch. 3-5lb Pike being caught as well.

Smith Lake
Great place to take the family fishing! Lots of Pike being caught. The Perch fishing has slowed but be persistent and ger rewarded. Know your limit of size and numbers of Perch!

Swan Lake
Reports are coming in of people fishing both ends. No reports of fish being caught.

Thompson Chain
Drifting snow on top of ice so be careful of pockets of slush. Wild West Panfish tourney un Upper on Feb 23rd. Sign Up @ Snappy’s

Whitefish Lake
All the bays are freezing over with 2-6” of ice. Reports of Lake Trout being caught in deeper water. Decent Pike coming out of the lake on the North West end.

**Weekly Tip**
When fishing is slow, use two poles. Take one and tie a search lure like a Flutter Spoon on and get aggressive with it. The second pole should be used as a dead stick, tip-up, or Jaw Jacker with your favorite bait/lure. Fish are drawn in by the flashing search lure and then find your second lure and bite!
