​Testing and evaluating of youth baseball bats has evolved into a science. So much so that the standard has also evolved to where USA Baseball, the national governing body for the sport of baseball in the United States, is adopting a new method for measuring bat performance in the testing of youth bats that will go into effect on January 1, 2018. The new USA Baseball bat standard (USABat), was developed by a USA Baseball committee of scientific experts.

Effective on January 1, 2018, Little League Baseball® will adhere to the new USABat standard. No bats previously approved for use in Little League Play (Junior League Baseball and below) will be permitted to be used in any Little League game or practice, or other Little League function, event, or activity. The back 9 holes are quite a bit shorter in distance. Some people enjoy starting on the back 9. Use it as a warm up before trying to throw the distance on the front 9. You'll follow the road / path around to the back area of Lawrence park and continue there. So let's take a look.

Flathead Valley Disc Golf (a non-profit organization) has raised the funds necessary to put a full 18 hole disc golf course at Lawrence park. Thank you to all those who have helped, either financially or physically with this great addition to our valley.

Travis from Snappy's Ballsports and Camping department took out a camera and documented the course for us. Check it out for hole by hole pictures and descriptions.

The 2 major players in the industry today are Innova and Discraft. Both companies make very high quality discs with Discraft offering 2 additional types of plastic. Innova has a complex numbering system for their discs which tells you the speed, glide, turn and fade of the disc. Discraft discs have just one number and that tells you the overall stability of the disc.

I have personally played with both companies discs and have found discs that I love from both companies. The major issue is that locally there's only one brand of disc you could purchase and that was Innova. If you wanted a Discraft disc you had to order them online and wait a few days to get them. Well that is no longer an issue now Snappy's is your home for Discraft discs.
