6-8” of solid ice with lots of Pike being caught on just about anything. Decent Perch being caught using smaller jigs like Pete’s Slab Slayers. Blanchard Lake 4-6” of ice in spots, so BE CAREFUL. Some Crappie, Perch and Pike being landed. Early AM & PM using glow hooks like Demon Jigs for the Crappie.

The lake is capped over 5 to 6 in. Lots of small Pike try bait and tube jigs it seems to be working all day. For Perch use small jigs with maggots or waxy worms. Check regs for size and quantity. Thompson Lakes: Upper Thompson is starting to cap over. Perch fishing has slowed down try small jigs and Pete's tackle and forage minnows. Trout fishing around the shore line in the morning and in the middle of the lake in the PM. Trolling with spinners, spoons and shallow running crankbaits. 12 Days of Snappy’s Christmas Starts |
