Reports of decent sized Salmon jigging in the early mornings and late evenings. Use a glow white and orange Hali jig tipped with corn and maggots. Focus your depth around 15-20ft if you don’t have sonar. Blanchard Lake Use heavy punch type lures to get through the lily pads. Bass will be using the pads as cover. Also try top water frogs in the early morning. Look for Crappie towards the South end suspended. Use Pete’s Crappie Candy and Cactus Jigs Church Slough A few decent Pike have been caught, but still slow. Top water buzz baits work well early mornings and late evenings. Still catching Salmon either trolling or jigging. A few decent Rainbows being caught with Rooster Tails and Power Bait. Blanchard Lake Use a punch style lure mid-day in thick cover to catch Bass. Early morning and late evening are a good times to use top water baits. Church Slough A few larger Pike have been caught in thick weed cover. Northland Reed Runners are an excellent choice. Lots of small Perch. |
